ISLAMABAD: Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has said that NAB does not belong to any political party or group, only belongs to the state of Pakistan.
According to details, a meeting of the NAB Executive Board is underway under the chairmanship of Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal, in which Deputy Chairman NAB, Prosecutor General, DG NAB Operations and Graphics officers participated.
The meeting is expected to approve various investigations and inquiries into corruption.
Expressing his views in the meeting, Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal said that corruption is the root cause of evil, which requires surgery to eradicate it. NAB, Pakistan can go hand in hand but not NAB and corruption.
Javed Iqbal said that every step is being taken to bring mega corruption cases to a logical conclusion. NAB does not belong to PTI or other political party, group or individual, NAB belongs only to the state of Pakistan.
He further said that NAB has been performing its duties irrespective of pressure and intimidation, instead of unjustifiably criticizing NAB, it should defend solid references.
Chairman NAB said that the performance of NAB was appreciated by national and international institutions and it was an honor for NAB to be appreciated by national and international institutions.
